Metso to Supply Pulp Line for Production of Chemical Cellulose for Sappi's Ngodwana Mill in South Africa
Finland, Oct 20, 2011 - Metso will supply a new fiberline for chemical cellulose for Sappi's Ngodwana mill in South Africa. Start-up is scheduled for the first half of 2013. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
Metso's delivery will include the design and supply of the main equipment for the new fiberline, from cooking to bleaching. The batch cooking plant is to be designed according to the prehydrolysis process and TwinRoll wash presses will be used in all washing positions.

The Forestry Branch of OJSC Ilim Group in Koryazhma (Arkhangelsk Oblast) has gone through audit verifying the compliance with the FSC Forest Management requirements. International technology Group ANDRITZ has been awarded an order by Xinxiang Xinya Group Co., Ltd. (Henan Xinhai Paper Co. Ltd.) to supply key equipment, a new automation system, and services for the upgrade of a softwood CTMP line which was transferred from Canada to China.
Start-up of the new line, reconfigured by ANDRITZ PULP & PAPER to one of China’s biggest hardwood mechanical pulping systems and based on the patented P-RC APMP technology, is scheduled for the end of 2012.
