The price growth took place in January and March 2011, while in February the prices decreased. The average price for chip-boards grew by 25.4 % in the first quarter of 2011 as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The most significant was the increase in the average price for plywood – 32.8%. The prices for MDF boards increased by 31.8%, those of laminated chipboards – by 27.2%, OSB – by 14%, the wood fiber board – by 10.9%.
