The timber harvesting volume in the Republic of Bashkortostan is projected to increase by 30%

The timber harvesting volumes will increase by 30 %, as estimated by Rajap Nabiullin, the Minister for Forestry Complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan. This index was accepted by the Forest Plan and the  Program of Development of the regional Timber Industry Complex.

 The total volume of timber harvested during the previous year amounted to 3.7 mln m3. “We are increasing the number of harvesting sites every year”, - noted Mr Nabiullin. Therefore the companies have a good choice of the harvesting sites. The price of a one cubic meter of the rented area amounts to 62 rubles.

 At the same time the authorities of the Republic of Bashkortostan are waiting for similar proactive approach from the companies that rent the forests. “They are renting more than million of cubic meters of forest area, but only 40 % of them are actively used”, noticed the Minister for  Forestry Complex of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

 The Republic of Bashkortostan welcomes investors in the timber industry complex of the region. The program of six innovative technological clusters have already been prepared and the investment possibility is being discussed.
