Timber industry complex of the Leningrad Region came out of a recession

According to the Government of the Leningrad Region, the increase in production of the timber industry complex exceeded 22%. The gross price of products amounted to RUR 45.2 bln. The sawmilling and woodworking increased by 40%, pulp and paper cooking by 17% and timber harvesting grew by 25%. The tax payments of the timber industry companies to the local, regional and federal budgets during the previous year reached RUR 3 bln thus increasing by 15%. The net profit of the timber industry complex of the region reached RUR 4 bln, according to the results of 2010.
