An explosion occurred at Pinnacle Pellet in Armstrong, British Columbia on Saturday night.

The explosion caused a fire that quickly spread through the basement and into the attic. Two workers who were on shift at the time of the incident were able to get out safely.

The Pinnacle Pellet plant turns wood shavings into pellets that are burned as fuel.

A considerable amount of fire was used to fight the fire. After it was extinguished, pumps were placed in the building’s basement to pump out thousands of gallons of water. After the water is removed, investigators will be able to look for the cause of the explosion.

The extent of the damage is not yet known, but the plant’s 20 employees may be off the job while repairs are made.
