The results of CP16/CMP6 in Cancún, Mexico, held from November 29 through December 10, 2010, offer a reason to celebrate even though a post-2012 climate deal was not struck and thorny issues will remain unresolved until next year at CP17/CMP7 in Durban, South Africa. Italy, Jan 10, 2011 - One month after having installed a new PMT SMARNIP® mini shoe press, the 4.5 m wide PM6 at Mondi Frantschach (A) has broken the speed world record of sackkraft paper machines, producing for over 24 hours in a row at 1002 m/min at pope-reel, in November 2010.

The successful cooperation between Mondi Frantschach and PMT Italia started in 2009 with the installation of a new M4 headbox and a new PMT shoe press on PM7, producing MG papers at a maximum speed of 450 m/min.
