25 % of light-weight coated paper in Russia will be produced in Perm Territory

KAMA Pulp and paper mill (Krasnokamsk, Perm Territory) which is a part of Investlesprom Group will become the first company in Russia to produce light-weight coated paper.

According to press-release of the Government of Perm Territory the production will be launched in March 2011. The raw material (birchwood) will be processed according to the state-of-the-art technology suggested by an Austrian company ANDRITZ. Investlesprom will assign more than 5.5 billion rubles to the project  «LWC-Kama». The production capacity will be 86 thousand tons of paper per year.

The project  «LWC-Kama» will mark the first step of Investlesprom entry to the LWC paper market. During this project implementation it is planned to test and improve the production technologies. Further Investlesprom anticipates to employ this experience in a large-scale project in the city of Sokol.
