The Administration of Komi Republic and DOK Kalevala has recently signed a Protocol on cooperation in construction of a woodworking mill in Petrozavodsk. DOK kalevala is to become the first company in Russia that will produce different kinds of OSB. reports ‘Runa’. The first stage is to be launched in 2012 with capacity making up 300 thousand cubic meters per year. Total investment volume (first stage) amounts to over EUR 150 mln. As expected, the second stage can be launched without the mill being stopped - mill capacity to increase up to 500 thousand cubic meters annually.

The technological process will be based on the most advanced technologies in compliance with the world standards. The machinery is to be delivered by Siempelkamp - one of the world leaders in turnkey delivery of plants for board production.
